Lax Links 8-29-11

Still a bit behind, I promise I’ll catch back up here when I get the chance. A few links of interest though:

  • Country Day goalie Ahmed Iftikhar has decommitted from Johns Hopkins. No word on where ESPN Rise’s #3 netminder is planning to head instead. Could the Titans or Wolverines get a huge pickup?
  • Michigan coach John Paul talked with Michigan Alumnus about the program. He admits it will take a few years before the Wolverines get on a level playing field with the rest of D-1 lacrosse.
  • According to Jac Coyne, Michigan State’s lacrosse team had more total attendance than every other club sport in East Lansing, and also every varsity sport except football, basketball, and hockey.
  • ESPN Rise will release their top 25 senior defensemen list on Wednesday.
  • I started a new Twitter account for Great Lax State. If you’re interested in following along on the tweedle-dees, check it out @GreatLaxState.

Semi-regular programming hopefully continuing soon. A profile of 2012 Michigan commit Riley Kennedy should be up next.
