Our annual look at Michigan natives who are playing college lacrosse at division-1 institutions this spring:

Air Force 10, Fairfield 12

  • Sophomore attack Tommy McKee (Holt) – Started and scored three goals on nine shots, while picking up two ground balls. Also committed two turnovers.

Bellarmine 13, Hobart 14

  • Senior midfielder Andrew Bulgarelli (Troy Athens) – Started and won 10 of 28 faceoffs, picking up six ground balls. Also took one shot.
  • Senior attack Devin Peurach (Brother Rice)

Detroit 8, Jacksonville 7

  • Freshman attack Brandon Beauregard (Notre Dame Prep) – Took two shots (one on goal). Also committed one turnover.
  • Senior midfielder John Bemben (Hartland) – Played but did not accrue any statistics.
  • Freshman midfielder Mike Birney (Detroit Catholic Central) – Took two shots (one on goal). Also committed two turnovers.
  • Junior midfielder Tyler Corcoran (South Lyon) – Won five of ten faceoffs, collecting two grounf balls, and took one shot on goal.
  • Junior midfielder Brandon Davenport (Grosse Pointe North) – Won four of eight faceoffs, picking up two ground balls. Also committed one penalty for 1:00.
  • Sophomore attack Scott Drummond (Birmingham Seaholm) – Started and picked up one ground ball.
  • Junior defenseman John Dwyer (Detroit Catholic Central) – Started and picked up one ground ball. Also committed two penalties for 2:00.
  • Sophomore midfielder Nick Garippa (Notre Dame Prep) – Lost his only faceoff, and took one shot on goal.
  • Senior attack Scott Harris (Saline) – Recorded one assist and took one shot.
  • Junior defenseman Jamie Hebden (Brother Rice) – Started, caused three turnovers, and picked up two ground balls. Also committed one turnover for 1:00.
  • Senior midfielder Brad Janer (Detroit Catholic Central) – Played, but only made the scoresheet by committing one turnover.
  • Sophomore LSM Andrew Khalil (Warren De La Salle) – Played, but did not accrue any statistics.
  • Senior Midfielder Tim Lehto (North Farmington) – Recorded one assist and took one shot. Also committed two turnovers.
  • Sophomore midfielder Joe MacLean (Detroit Country Day) – Caused one turnover.
  • Junior midfielder Chris Nemes (Detroit Catholic Central) – Caused two turnovers and picked up two ground balls.
  • Senior defensman Adam Nolan (Ann Arbor Pioneer) – Played, but did not accrue any statistics.
  • Senior midfielder John Nowicki (Warren De La Salle) – Started, but only made the scoresheet by committing one turnover.
  • Redshirt freshman midfielder Tom Sible (Forest Hills Central) – Played, but did not accrue any statistics.

Hofstra 9, North Carolina 12

  • Junior defenseman Michael Hamilton (Brother Rice) – Started and picked up one ground ball.

Michigan 9, Ohio State 12

  • Junior midfielder Zach Dauch (Bloomfield Hills Lahser) – Took two shots on goal and picked up one ground ball. Also committed four turnovers.
  • Freshman defenseman Mack Gembis (Cranbrook) – Caused one turnover and picked up one ground ball.
  • Redshirt senior midfielder Brian Greiner (Grosse Pointe South) – Won 12 of 21 faceoffs, picking up three ground balls, and scored goals on his only two shots of the game.
  • Senior defenseman Rob Healy (Notre Dame Prep) – Started and picked up three ground balls.
  • Freshman attack Will Meter (Brother Rice) – Started, recorded one assist, took two shots on goal, and picked up one ground ball. Also committed two turnovers.
  • Freshman midfielder Thomas Orr (Detroit Catholic Central) – Played but did not accrue any statistics.
  • Sophomore defenseman Dakota Sherman (Cranbrook) – Started, caused one turnover, and picked up one ground ball.
  • Senior defenseman Austin Swaney (East Grand Rapids) – Caused two turnovers and picked up five ground balls. Also committed one turnover and one penalty for 1:00.
  • Senior midfielder Alex Vasileff (Birmingham Seaholm) – Started and scored three goals on six shots (three on goal). Picked up three ground balls.

Mount St. Mary’s 14, Robert Morris 17

  • Junior midfielder Conor Carey (University of Detroit Jesuit) – Recorded one assist and picked up one ground ball.
  • Junior midfielder Jon Marsalese (University of Detroit Jesuit) – Won 11 of 26 faceoffs, picking up six ground balls.
  • Senior defenseman Brendan Rooney (University of Detroit Jesuit) – Started, but did not accrue any statistics.

Penn State 8, Towson 3

  • Junior Attack Nick Dolik (Brother Rice) – Recorded one assist, took five shots, and picked up three ground balls. Also committed two turnovers.
  • Junior midfielder Danny Henneghan (Brother Rice) – Started and won 10 of 14 faceoffs, picking up five ground balls.

Sacred Heart 8, Wagner 11

  • Sophomore midfielder Tom Sardelli (Notre Dame Prep) – Started and scored one goal on two shots (one on goal). Also committed two turnovers and one penalty for 0:30.

Stony Brook 10, UMBC 8

  • Senior attack Graham Adams (Brother Rice) – Played, but only made the scoresheet by committing one turnover.

Stony Brook 8, Yale 9 (OT)

  • Senior attack Graham Adams (Brother Rice) – Took one shot.

VMI 14, Mercer 4

  • Freshman midfielder Andrew Erber (Dexter) – In his first action of the season, picked up one ground ball (disclaimer: his presence could be a scorekeeper’s error, as I’d be surprised to see a redshirt burned this late in the year).
