Zach Schwartz scored a goal and won 20 of 24 faceoffs. “He had a really important game,” Robenalt said. “He was over 80% in faceoffs and kept the ball in our hands the whole game.”

Chelsea 3, Temperance Bedford 2

“(Dominic) Goderis (Josh) Bach and (Grant) Bater were our defensive leaders tonight,” Chelsea coach Joe Koengeter said. “The defensive effort was exceptional with Dustin in goal. They allowed Bedford very few shots did a great job getting the ball back down field.”

Caledonia 8, Grand Rapids Christian 6

Caledonia used a four goal second quarter to erase a 2-1 deficit on the way to an 8-6 victory.

he Irish offense got on track in the second quarter with five goals to open a 6-1 lead at half.  Jake Jeske led all scorers with two goals and an assist.  Mark Thierbacker also finished with two goals.

Joe Spoelhof led the Holland Christian boys lacrosse team with eight points and three assists as it topped Lowell 19-9 on Tuesday. “We had a pretty good attack connection to get Spoelhof his scoring,” Holland Christian coach Steven Johns said.

Senior Ben Sims of Rockford scored seven goals to help the Rams boys lacrosse team defeat Holt 13-5 Wednesday. “Ben just created opportunities,” Rockford coach Pete Sims said. “He was able to get himself into position and he was pretty accurate with his shots. They couldn’t stop him, so we didn’t tell him to stop.”
