Lax Links 7-1-11

Still waiting for official word on Judd Lattimore’s hiring as a Michigan assistant coach.

East Grand Rapids lacrosse coach Adam Vincent has resigned his position, citing concerns that his coaching position interfered with work and family life.

Not a link, but I reached out to the ECAC to get an update on Michigan’s application. League spokesman Patrick Stewart (Not That Patrick Stewart) told me:

I can tell you that we are currently studying their application and will render a decision in the near future. Of course, we’ll make an announcement onĀ ecaclacrosse.com.

Looking forward to an update any day now. It’ll be a real shocker if the decision is anything other than immediate acceptance, based on everything else we’ve heard.

Country Day’s Ahmed Iftikhar and Riley Kennedy of Brother Rice are participating in the Warrior 40 event next weekend. A two-hour special airs on ESPNU on Sunday the 10th.

After announcing last week that they’d be defunding lacrosse (Lacrosse Magazine reaction), the Ann Arbor School Board is saying “not so fast my friends” to themselves. A new plan will be announced on July 13th.
