Weekend Roundup

A lot went on late ast week and over the weekend, and it was probably one of the biggest stretches of content I’ve produced:

There were also a lot of goings-on that I didn’t write about. Michigan State gave up a 4-goal fourth quarter lead (5-9) to choke away a victory against Colorado State in overtime, which caused me to be a little… pessimistic about their chances against Arizona State. The CSU game should be available for replay on collegelax.tv soon.

Well, the Spartans certainly proved me wrong. They led by as much as a 10-2 score late in the third quarter, but despite their best efforts to be crushed by huge comebacks two days in a row, they managed to hold on for the 12-11 win. Huge victory for the Spartan program, and they could be headed toward a top-5 seed in the MCLA Tournament.

Speaking of which, following the weekend, Jac Coyne busts out some MCLA Bracketology. I had a Bracketology series on mgoblog last year, and will continue that in this space starting soon.

In the high school ranks, there has been a lot of action since last I covered it. Link roundup:

There isn’t a whole lot of high school lacrosse coverage out there in this state (one of the many reasons I started this site), so if you want to drop me a line about any games you see, or your kid’s school team, I’m accepting e-mails at t.w.sullivan1@gmail.com.
