Our annual look at Michigan natives who are playing college lacrosse at division-1 institutions this spring:

Air Force 12, Bellarmine 8

  • Sophomore attack Tommy McKee (Holt) – Started, recorded five goals and two assists on seven shots, and picked up one ground ball. Also committed one turnover.

Bellarmine 8, Air Force 12

  • Senior midfielder Andrew Bulgarelli (Troy Athens) – Won seven of 17 faceoffs, picking up one ground ball. Also committed one turnover.
  • Senior attack Devin Peurach (Brother Rice)

Delaware 11, Michigan 7

  • Freshman midfielder Bennett Packer (Brother Rice) – In his first action of the season, took one shot on goal, and picked up one ground ball. (Side note – he doesn’t appear in the cumulative season stats, so this could be a statistician’s error that has since been corrected).

Detroit 8, Siena 15

  • Freshman attack Brandon Beauregard (Notre Dame Prep) – Played, but did not accrue any statistics.
  • Senior midfielder John Bemben (Hartland) – Picked up one ground ball. Also committed one penalty for 1:00.
  • Freshman midfielder Mike Birney (Detroit Catholic Central) – Scored one goal on three shots (two on goal). Also committed one turnover.
  • Junior midfielder Tyler Corcoran (South Lyon) – Won six of 13 faceoffs, picking up one ground ball.
  • Junior midfielder Brandon Davenport (Grosse Pointe North) – Won seven of 13 faceoffs, picking up three ground balls.
  • Sophomore LSM Kevin DiSalle (Orchard Lake Saint Mary’s) – Played, but did not accrue any statistics.
  • Sophomore attack Scott Drummond (Birmingham Seaholm) – Started and took three shots (one on goal). Also committed two turnovers.
  • Junior defenseman John Dwyer (Detroit Catholic Central) – Started and picked up three ground balls. Also committed one turnover.
  • Sophomore midfielder Nick Garippa (Notre Dame Prep) – Lost his only faceoff, and took one shot.
  • Senior attack Scott Harris (Saline) – Started and scored a goal on four shots (three on goal). Caused one turnover and picked up two ground balls. Also committed two turnovers.
  • Junior defenseman Jamie Hebden (Brother Rice) – Started and caused four turnovers, picking up four ground balls. Also committed one turnover and one penalty for 1:00.
  • Senior midfielder Brad Janer (Detroit Catholic Central) – Played, but did not accrue any statistics.
  • Sophomore LSM Andrew Khalil (Warren De La Salle) – Picked up one ground ball.
  • Senior Midfielder Tim Lehto (North Farmington) – Started and took one shot. Also committed four turnovers.
  • Sophomore midfielder Joe MacLean (Detroit Country Day) – Picked up one ground ball.
  • Junior midfielder Chris Nemes (Detroit Catholic Central) Scored one goal on two shots (both on goal), and picked up one ground ball.
  • Senior midfielder John Nowicki (Warren De La Salle) – Scored one goal on three shots (two on goal).
  • Redshirt freshman midfielder Tom Sible (Forest Hills Central) – Played, but did not accrue any statistics.

Hofstra 9, Dartmouth 5

  • Junior defenseman Michael Hamilton (Brother Rice) – Started and picked up four ground balls. Also committed one turnover.

Hofstra 13, St. Joseph’s 9

  • Junior defenseman Michael Hamilton (Brother Rice) – Started, caused one turnover, and picked up three ground balls.

Michigan 7, Delaware 11

  • Freshman midfielder Thomas Orr (Detroit Catholic Central) – Picked up two ground balls. Also committed two penalties for 1:00.
  • Sophomore defenseman Dakota Sherman (Cranbrook) – Started and picked up one ground ball. Also committed one turnovers.
  • Senior defenseman Austin Swaney (East Grand Rapids) – Picked up one ground ball.
  • Senior midfielder Alex Vasileff (Birmingham Seaholm) – Recorded one assist and took one shot.

Mount St. Mary’s 9, Bryant 17

  • Junior midfielder Conor Carey (University of Detroit Jesuit) – Took one shot (on goal) and caused one turnover. Also committed one turnover.
  • Junior midfielder Jon Marsalese (University of Detroit Jesuit) – Won 11 of 29 faceoffs, picking up four ground balls.
  • Senior defenseman Brendan Rooney (University of Detroit Jesuit) – Started, caused one turnover, and picked up one ground ball.

Penn State 10, Drexel 9

  • Junior Attack Nick Dolik (Brother Rice) – Scored one goal on six shots. Also committed one turnover.
  • Junior midfielder Danny Henneghan (Brother Rice) – Started and won 10 off 22 faceoffs, picking up three ground balls.

Sacred Heart 10, Robert Morris 17

  • Sophomore midfielder Tom Sardelli (Notre Dame Prep) – Took one shot. Also committed two turnovers.

Stony Brook 13, Binghamton 5
