CCLA Postseason Honors

This is a really weird situation, because the CCLA has obviously informed teams of their selections, but there has been no official release on the conference’s page announcing the individual honorees. Michigan’s selections:

  • Thomas Paras. 1st-Team Attack, Offensive Player of the Year.
  • Trevor Yealy. 1st-Team Attack.
  • Joey Hrusovsky. 1st-Team Attack.
  • Harry Freid. 1st-Team Defense, Defensive Player of the Year.
  • Matt Asperheim. 1st-Team LSM.
  • Austin Swaney. 1st-Team Defense.
  • Mark Stone. 1st-Team Goalie.
  • Brian Greiner. 1st-Team Faceoff Specialist.
  • Chad Carroll. 2nd-Team Attack.
  • Alex Vasileff. 2nd-Team Midfield.
  • Sean Sutton. 2nd-Team Short Stick Defensive Midfielder.
  • Andrew Fowler. Honorable Mention Goalie.

It got hectic trying to keep up with the liveblog AND paying attention to the awards, but most of Michigan State’s honorees are as follows:

  • Pat Nemes. 1st-Team Attack.
  • Connor Bush. 1st-Team Midfield.
  • Brendan Hunt. 1st-Team Defense.
  • Alex Gage. 1st-Team Defensive Midfield.
  • Michael Baily. 2nd-Team Attack.
  • Michael Schneider. 2nd-Team Defense.
  • Wes Binder. 2nd-Team Defense.
  • Smith Atwood. 2nd-Team Goalie.
  • Josh Nemes. 2nd-Team Midfield.
  • Dan Witt. 3rd-Team Attack.
  • Pat Green. 3rd-Team Midfield.
  • Ben Daiek. 3rd-Team LSM.
  • Scott Wisniewski. Honorable Mention Faceoff Specialist.

In addition, I know Central Michigan ended up with 6 honorees, but I don’t know who they are. Waiting for the CCLA to get it in gear and release the full list.

Hey Tim, for the UM guys, could designate who of those guys are seniors and who we’re bringing back for our inagural “Kick The Shit Out Of The Rest Of Lacrosse” season? Thanks.

I’ll be talking a loooooot about the team going forward in the coming days (once the MCLA Tournament is over, as it will occupy my time for the next week or so). There’s a lot to talk about with the transition to D-1, and believe you me, I’ll be talking about it.
